Baum-Mensch

Schon als Kind fas­zi­nier­ten mich Bäume. Oft waren sie für mich Zufluchts­or­te zum Träumen.

Inspi­riert durch die Dar­stel­lung eines Bildes des Kam­mer­ma­lers Mat­thä­us Loder* begab ich mich auf die Suche nach einem Baum, der zur Zeit Erz­her­zog Johanns gepflanzt wurde. Diesen alten ver­narb­ten Baum, eine Ulme, ent­deck­te ich am Brandhof.

Sein Anblick führte meine Gedan­ken zu den Ver­nar­bun­gen meines Körpers.

Die krea­ti­ve Umset­zung erfolg­te in einer Serie von gra­fi­schen Dar­stel­lun­gen und durch eine digi­ta­le Ver­mes­sung des Baumes.

Mehr als zwei­hun­dert Jahre eines Baum­le­bens stellte ich meinen sechs­und­sech­zig Lebens­jah­ren gegenüber.

BAUM-MENSCH

Even as a child,trees fasci­na­ted me.They were often refuges for me where I could dream.

Inspi­red by the depic­tion of a pain­ting by per­so­nal painter to the Duke Mat­thä­us Loder,i  went in search of a tree that was planted at the time of Arch­du­ke Johann. I dis­co­ver­ed this old,scarred tree,an elm,at the Brandhof.The sight and appearance of the tree led my thoughts to the scar­ri­ng of my own body.

I dealt with this crea­tively in a series of graphic works and by  means of a digital survey of the tree.

More than two hundred years of the life of a tree came face to face with my sixty-six years of life.
